Do you guys have LTE network over there?

I bought an unlocked version of Lumia 830 from Amazon and the highest connection I have is 4G. Actually I have the choice between 2-3 and 4G

Well that's cos there is no 4G signal in your area or it is so bad that your phone switches to h+ .

How about you end the guessing games...

    Settings > extras + info > Manufacturer's Name

What does it say? That way we will know which variant you have.

An Unlocked from ATT or a Factory Unlocked Latin American would work on Telus LTE Band 4.

Sorry then, it won't get LTE on Telus. You needed the RM-985 like this one Nokia Lumia 830 RM-985 16GB Smartphone A00021287 B&H Photo Video

You got the Euro tuned SoC with incompatible LTE Bands.

Yeah... Looking at the AD they are very unclear, but several of the reviews showing state LTE issues.

Hopefully you can return it. The B&H link I posted earlier. They ship to CA.

Generally the international versions don't have the bands for the US.

    Update:

Received my RM-985....I can tell that there is not much difference in speed with the RM-984.
The only difference I see is, that it says LTE on the phone....That is it...

Well I should have said when I did the testing it was using my home wi-fi, if that make a difference
