News on WP8.1 Developer Preview Update 14-May-2014

I cant believe that there is no post on this.

Please post the new features that you can see on WP8.1DP 14/May/14.

BTW, for curious and restless fellas...
-download for my 720 was around 24-25MB.
-Took 10-15min for "Preparing to install"
-At installation, took 15min at 1% and 5min for remaining...
-After Installation it took ~20min (depending on your data) for migration.
-And some more for installing Apps...

Noticed any performance improvement? Mine seems faster on resuming apps

Both my L920 and my Icon have much better battery life. My Icon still has delays turning on sometimes and sometimes has a delay resuming the start screen.

IE seems faster.. Seems to load pages quicker.

My battery has been at 100% for like 3.5 hours now.. And the phone is much faster and more responsive. Awesome battery life! Loving this update

Facebook account sync via the people's hub is working properly now. Earlier it used to keep saying it cannot sync

Everything just seems faster and snappier overall.

Are the transitions (as reported by users) reverted back to the old ones?

no transitions stay the same.
I notice the back button now tombstone FB beta instead of closing it. battery life is significantly improved on L920

Once new thing I noticed ws a retry all option in the downloads section of the store when there is an error while downloading some app
Earlier u had to select individual apps and hit retry

Anyone had the issue with start screen? Mine seem to be rendering the live tile, meaning the tile doesn't show immediately after u scroll down to the bottom of scroll back to top.. Other than this it's pretty smooth so far.. Mine is, Lumia 1020

Apps like battery sense and calendar still not getting tombstoned even after pressing back key..
Didn't notice any other changes..

+620 same issue with me :(

Noticed one thing when Battery Saver is on the battery drains faster as compared to when it is off. Battery was at 60% battery saver was on in 3 hours (data off, wifi off, location off; didn't play any games, just going through some pics was thee only thing I did in that 3 hours that too for 15 mins) the battery came down to 24%. Charged battery to 100%. Then again when it was 60%, battery saver was off and did all the same things as before and after 3 hours the battery was at 47%. Don't know if anyone else found this thing.

The try all again buttons on the marketplace downloads has always been there in the dev preview. Only shows up when two or more apps need to be retried.

I think this was the initial 8.1 update but I'm happy that I can finally save my e-mail picture attachments. Couldnt do that before

I haven't noticed any change in battery life of my nearly 1,5 years old 920. Might be the hardware though.. Other than that nothing to report (yet).

Now I have to reinstall and lose all messages history.

One major bug fixed is that games hub is back on apps list. .. Aa reported by wpcentral in the games update 2 days ago

Sucks. Luckily once app writers update, and make use of wp8.1 (if they choose to) all of that Info will be backed up with your phone settings so it will come back after a hard reboot.

There was retry all before the update too.

Anyone noticed that passbooks cannot be added to the wallet anymore?

-batterly life still poor
-feels more fluid
-alarm function working again
-bluetooth with parrot carkit working now

It was like that since 8.1 only (may be + FB App update)
