1020 vs 925 Battery life

How is the battery life on 1020 compared to 925 with normal day to day use . I have 925 at the moment on tmobile and looking to switch to 1020.
925 only gives me 5 hours of normal usage and then it's dead ...

something faulty on your Lumia 925 , do you use LTE , if so then its okay. You will get the same battery life but the camera on 1020 drains battery and it makes sense because it has a big sensor size and xenon flash :smile:
if you want the best battery life go for Lumia 1520 (20 MP isn't bad ) and you will get the top notch specs.

Yes , I do use Lte but the phone does switches to 2g from time to time. Phone could be faulty who knows as I just received it from HSN two days ago ..

ah so its a new device , congratulations :smile: Give your phone some time since the battery is new , it will take some charges to give you great battery life (my Lumia 920 took 1 week to show some great results )

Return it. I have to be actively trying to kill my phone in 5 hours. Is that 5 hours of solid screen-on time?

I had a 920 before i switched to the 1020, I can say is that 1020 has much better battery life. I can get a day of use with heavy twitter whats app and other apps.

0.o they both have the same specs (don't compare ram and camera ). same processor , pure motion hd plus screen , and same capacity battery :wink:

Bro i Know all that,
but for me 1020 provides better battery life all in all with 3G too, i dont know how it is but it sure does.
Also the software kept getting better with 925 and 1020, if they used the same algorithms for battery which they used on 920, 1020 would have been toast after taking tons of pics.

I use my phone to click pics ALOT with xenon flash too in the parties, After party my 920 used to be at 48-50% my 1020 is at 70-75%

You mean LTE is draining the battery more than 3G? I am curious about that because I believed that I read somewhere that LTE is more friendly towards your battery...But I might be wrong..
