Action center useless with 3rd party apps

Hi!
3rd party apps like WhatsApp or wpcentral can't work correctly with the new action center because some crazy ms restrictions !
What were they thinking ?
I can swipe away notifications but the number on the tile is still there.
With system apps like SMS or email it also clears the tiles, that's the way it should work.
What's the point in restricting 3rd party apps like this, really ms must give developers the the possibility to add this feature to their apps, otherwise the action center is not really useful, what are you thinking about this crazy decision from MS ?

I expect Its a security thing. Microsoft has a far bigger enterprise to protect than your other choices and you should expect a slower process to the third party app. Just putting it out there.

I don't have this problem myself. Action Centre works as it should for me...

Trust me you have the problem it's a confirmed ms restriction.
swipe away a wpcenter notification and you will see the tile still shows unread news.

You get a WhatsApp message saying just yes or ok, swipe it away in the action center but the WhatsApp tile still f showed a number (1) for a new message, that's awful and inconsistent !

Agreed. Btw, whatsapp is very pathetic as it always sjows the ' resuming' screen. One more prob is that is opens up the last position when you click on a notification in the action center regardless of who hs sent you the message. In other platforms, it opens the person's chat window rather than the last screen positon

I think apps have to be updated to support the clearing of the tile through Action Center.

If you click an update on your action center, like facebook comment, it's not jump to the comment, it's just open the app, clear it just cleaning the action center not the live tile

I think, we all know that, and we all know that it clears only the tiles of system apps like SMS or email if you swipe away a message, and that's the problem.

Also bear in mind that upon the first run of Whatsapp when running WP8.1 it tells you quite clearly "some features may not work properly with Windows Phone 8.1", and you have to dismiss the message.

Man, this is not os restriction. It's just a feature that only works on WP 8.1 apps, and WhatsApp isn't. It's a WP 8.0 app, where there's no action center

They should be more creativity in the notification center like make it interactive, like if someone sends you a WhatsApp message you can reply the message by just tapping on the toast and reply the message without leaving the current app you're running, then if you missed the toast, then you just draw down the notification center and also reply to the message without leaving the app, this makes multi tasking alot easier

Why is it not working with the wpcentral app, that app already got updated many times since 8.1 release ?!

Actually, the WPCentral app has already been stated that it's going to get fully rewritten soon to incorporate everything that is 8.1. So, yes, it is an 8.0 app currently, just with 1080p support.

Ok, show me one app, just one that removes the number from the tile if you swipe away the notifications in the action center.
There is none (3rd party)... And you say it's because they are all still not updated for 8.1, come on.

Personally, I like this "bug". I can clear my action center but still have an onscreen reminder that something in that app needs my attention.
