anyone have lagging + other weird problems in lumia 620 ?

If I squeeze the volume button too hard it reboots, same if I put it down the phone onto a very hard surface sometimes it does it too. I think it's just my phone.

I would try to remove the cover and check whether it was properly clapped on.

Make sure the back cover is on properly. There have been reports that some back covers are a bit loose, and this can cause the phone to reboot. You could try getting a new back cover if this is the case.

I recently bought a Cyan 620 from a Vodafone store. The display model was nice and fast, but mine was being sluggish and I was beginning to think I had a faulty handset. It turns out that my handset didn't have the latest firmware on it, which I downloaded using the Updater for Retail.

Now it's nice and fast and similar to the speed of my 800 (navigating the phone and browsing and zooming websites), though I'm still getting used to the the difference in feel of the screens.

On a side note, really liking the 620 so far. The shell is very like the first generation Microsoft Zune mp3 players, which had the same plastic material and doubleshot - I think Nokia are definitely making a nod to them!

Thats annoying! I have done a complete factory reset and it still does the same!! However, if I do the same with Nokia Music - it works fine. I have sent an email to Nokia regarding this - any idea what can be the problem??

Try updating your firmware.

That's a problem with Whatsapp for WP8. Whatsapp uses an API to.. uhm.. stay connected (!); this was needed in previous versions of WP. The API shows up in the music player and it is actually like a 'paused song'.

Try going into the games app, swipe left to see the avatar and let it load, then exit. Now load the store and Nokia Collection should be there..



On the Jumpy screen en garbage on screen, all that I saw before I installed the new firmware, but not since. Overall it seems the phone behaves much better, smoother and battery life got better.

Try using "Nokia Software Updater for Retail to see if there is a newer firmware. If not, try restoring factory defaults. Are you able to search for "Nokia Corporation" and Nokia apps show up?

i can see Nokia Exclusives in the APP highlights application. Will try Software updater.

Not only have i had the screen go to black on me but also the multiple image on the screen i've also had the web browser shut pages down and revert to previous screen, screen freezing, phone shut down, a crackle during calls through the phone earpiece but not on loud speaker or while headphones are attatched, totally awful battery life (with everything turned off) and yesterday the weirdest event so far, having just played a youtube video i then went to my music but the sound from the loud speaker was so low you could hardly hear it even at the maximum volume level so my other half gave me a call to see if the loudspeaker had 'died' but it rang totally normally but on returning to music the sound had almost died away again.

Now we are both running lumia 620's both bought from the same store at the same time, usage is approx the same though the other half does more facebook and video watching but always seems to have more power at the end of the day left in the phone.

We've tried resetting the phone several times as advised but still it is really poor, even it's signal strength while next to its sister phone is bad. We even swapped phones to use each others here and while one phone remains stable mine is really troublesome.

Now i do have a backup phone which i could use but the way the 620 feels in the hand is great, i'll admit that it is getting to the stage where i do feel like not holding it in my hand while mid way through going to pitch it at the nearest wall when it fails. When it works it is fantastic but can't help but feel this is a recurring problem i get with Nokia phones as i seem to have one very few years and always seem to get the duff one in a batch.

You really do need to return your phone to your retailer or to Nokia. Your phone is obviously faulty and should be replaced under warranty. The problems you are experience are not normal.
