Auto upload of pictures - high resolution pics uploading!

Is it just my Lumia 1020 WP8.1 malfunctioning in a good way or is this the way it is now. Is anyone else experiencing this? After I upgraded to WP8.1 (first day it was available for Devs), my high resolution pictures, 7712 x 4352, 7 to 12+mp, are Auto uploading to my OneDrive. I have my photos+videos set to Best quality (needs Wi-Fi). I just noticed this yesterday when going to upload my highres pics to my pc that I didn't need to. On my phone they have the Pro__highres in their name but in OneDrive they are just Pro.

I just checked on my 1520, it is uploading the high-res! Awesome, I was just starting to wonder how it was possible that on the S5 it could upload the 16MP picture, but WP had a 10MP limit.

I thought such the other day and just verified for my self today. Very cool. It seems to have happened between the 17th and 19th this past month right around 8.1. Very cool!
