Battery life on the M8

I am about to purchase an m8. My only concern is the battery life. Will this phone make it through the day? I am replacing my Icon, which I love but I cannot deal with 7 hour battery life anymore.

Mine had the best battery life of any phone that I've ever owned. I was on VZW.

I charge mine every other day and it still has 30% or more when I plug it in.

Do you guys have any feedback on roaming battery life? I live in the Netherlands but whenever I go on a day-business trip to Switzerland (currently using iPhone 5S) I need to charge my phone 2 times during the day... This is killing me...

I also owned the Icon twice before I cracked the screen both times and now have the HTC. Hands-down the HTC has better battery life. Under heavy usage (work-related), my Icon would often be in trouble around 3-4PM. But I can get through the end of the work day with the HTC (though sometimes it's close).

It's a really good phone (except for the borderline awful camera).
