BBM Coming to Windows Phone

Looks like BBM is coming to Windows Phone too.

Handy little IM client, although I don't use it like I used to. Will be tossing up a forum for this on CB and WPC. Will fit nicely in 'Windows Phone Apps'.

Don't see this raising the same fuss the X series did. *phew*

I don't think most WP users have the same distaste for BB that they do for android. Shouldn't be a problem. A lot of them were probably former BB users that had BBM at one time. Has too much time passed since they last used it? And how many of their friends still do, on whatever platform?

Good questions. I know BlackBerry has a plan. Should be interesting to see how things unfold.

LOL! If I ever put BBM on my phone the first thing my wife would think of is Tiger Woods and that's not a good thing! :grin:

A know almost nothing about BBM. What's the advantage? From talking with the CB crew some use it like a dating, hookup site. How does that work?

My only concern is that this might be too premature for a BBM forum here. If BB is anything like in the past, summer will mean September (when they finally added BBM for Android/iOS last year after saying "coming in summer").

I'll definitely try BBM when it's available. My favourite feature of BBM was groups. I currently use WhatsApp for my former BBM groups.

What I like better about BBM (and WhatsApp) compared to Skype is ability to share pictures/videos. There is no file sharing in Skype. Skype is basically no better than SMS to me. I'm not into any of the voice services of any of these apps. They basically are useful for me for chatting with groups, sharing media, and chatting with people not in the US. I hate phone calls in any way, shape or form; However, I like SMS/MMS/IM chatting.
