I've used the pen to add notes to a PowerPoint that was sent to me, but it seemed kind of clunky as I had to activate the pen feature on each slide... otherwise, it assumes the en is a pointer as the default. I guess that makes sense.

So, do I use OneNote to pull the PowerPoint in to OneNote so I can just "write" on the slides and send out as a OneNote document or is there something I do while in PPT to export into OneNote?

I'll admit, I haven't tried very hard to figure this out, but I now see I have 3 PowerPoint files to comment on for folks that work for me and I would rather just write my notes on the slides in OneNote and have them make the corrections in their original PPT file.

It's a Surface Pro thread, so we are using a Surface Pen.

Drawboard app is simply great to annotate PDFs.

I use the Modern UI version on my SP3, since the form factor is better. I use OneNote 2013 on my desktop to do the more powerful stuff. And since I have Office 2013 on both my SP3 as well, I have that capability too. Best of both worlds IMO.

Completely agree. I feel the Modern version of OneNote is more usable for a pen/touch environment. However, it's missing so many features of the desktop version. I wish they would just add more features to the Modern version. The desktop version is full featured but it's borderline terrible for touch. I use the Modern version most of the time and when I need to do something special to the OneNote page, I then load up the desktop version.

You can't even change the color of the scribble once it's done with the Modern version (like changing a blue note to a red note)! I can't believe even some basic features are missing from the Modern app.
