Can't connect to macbook pro sharing ethernet over wi-fi

Hi there,

Does anyone else out there have a mac as their primary computer? Has anyone successfully shared their Internet connection with their Lumia device via Internet sharing?

I owned a Nokia N9 before, and never had issues connecting to my computer's Internet via wi-fi. However, I just cannot seem to get it to work with my Lumia 925 (running WP 8). Each time I get one of two error messages, either the Password is incorrect (which it's not - and this has been double and triple checked), OR, it states, "Connection unsuccessful. Your phone couldn't reach the WLAN network (name of my computer)."

I have gone into my computer's Internet sharing preferences, have tried changing the channel number, but that doesn't do anything. I CANNOT for whatever reason, connect to my computer's Internet connection with my Lumia device over wi-fi.

PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING!

I'm sorry you are having issues with internet sharing. I've moved your thread to the Mac OS X forum, since more Mac users should be able to help you there.

The majority of 925 users would be PC users, who are not familiar with Macs.
