Windows Central Question

can't detect battery after upgrade to Windows 10, tried solutions I found online, still nothing

I uninstalled the battery on device manager and then scanned for hardware changes. The device manager now says it's in there, but all of the settings are running as if it were plugged in (screen brightness, etc) and battery indicator still says no battery.

I also tried to run a battery report from the command prompt, with the result of "unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x10d2) has occurred: the library, drive, or media pool is empty"

Except I'm running on battery power right now!! Please help.
