I just updated my 920 to the new build (wasn't using previous build) but can't find Spartan and Outlook. Even the older mail app is missing. Everything is slow and very buggy. Whats wrong?

how long did the install take - my phone has been sitting here on the install screen doing nothing for about 20mins - getting worried!

I can't tell you that you should do this, but I can tell you it worked for me.

I had the same problem, so I did a full factory reset. Given that the age I spent staring at the cogs earlier was probably a restoration of my account backup, I decided not to use the backup option this time and went fully from scratch. Now I've got a lot of customisation to do, but I do have the new Outlook and Project Spartan!

It took about 30 minutes for the full update process including download.
But the issue is that I don't see Outlook and Spartan, old mail app is also missing, so I am totally out of email at the moment. Also, things look a little strange, so I believe 920 still has scaling issue because icons seem to be smaller than normal.

I really think it's an issue of your backup preventing the appearance of the new replacement apps. If you're seeing Calendar, you shouldn't be; the new one is Outlook Calendar, and it behaves quite differently. Check out Rubino's video tour of WP10 to see if your apps look like his - chances are they don't, and you're still using the vestigial elements of WP8.1.

I'm not seeing a scaling issue. My 920 still has width of 6 mini square tiles (if "Show more tiles" is ON in Settings), 3 standard squares, or 1 rectangle and 1 one standard square. If "Show more tiles" is not switched on, you'll see a width of only 4 standard squares and no ability to stretch down to the mini square size (also this view looks a little blurry to me, but that might be just being used to the 6-tile look).

I factory reset my 920 and everything was fine. I got both Spartan and Outlook. After reset, I recovered the cloud saved settings for my 920 and everything was good.
But I am going back 8.1 for now, the current 10 build is too buggy for me, everything is very slow, and the worst thing is that it is costing me data charges, even though I have turned off data connection from settings, but it is still eating data.
