Can't setup email after renaming hotmail account to outlook account

I renamed my Hotmail account to an outlook.com account.
I reset my phone and entered my new email address in the initial startup wizard.
I did not get any errors.

However, when the initial startup wizard completed, I have no way of reading my email

My tile for email says "Email setup"

I do have my contacts but I don't have any way to read or send email.
I tried adding a Windows Live account but it says that the account name is already setup.

Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Go to Settings - Accounts , Select Live Account and set the mark in Syncronize E-Mail.

It is missing as default.

In the email account settings, the checkbox for "Content to sync" was not checked. I checked it and now I can read email. I don't know why it was not checked by default.
