Cheaper Data Plan?

I don't think I should have to pay extra to use this phone. I'm a penny-pincher (or try to be). Does anyone know if I can access the web via my Dash (that I'd purchase from a 3rd party; not from T-Mobile) with OperaMini or SkyFire if I'm on the $20 plan for other phones?

$20 plan is:

100 MB Web + Unlimited Messages for phones
Get 100 MB of Web access, bundled with unlimited domestic messages.

Includes:
• 100 MB Web access
• Unlimited domestic text, picture, e-mail, and instant messages

I've heard/seen people getting OperaMini to access the web via the $5 T-Zones plan (discontinued). So I was hoping this would work as well.
