cooler charging with glance off on lumia 950

Hi all

Just turned the exception rule off in glance settings as I noticed it doesn't moving around and whilst charging the time and date are always in the same place for nearly 2 hours. I otherwise have a time out of 30 seconds set.

But now after a few weeks of accepting the excessive heat whilst fast charging I just noticed this is significantly reduced because the glance screen isn't displaying the time continuously

Can some others try this?

This is also true for the Lumia 1020, and it may be safe to extrapolate this behavior to other devices that have Glance screen. The less activity the phone has, the less heat it will generate. Glance screen, no matter how "light" it is on power consumption, still consumes power. Having it turned off will still conserve power and will, consequently, cause the phone to generate less heat while it is charging.

I will try this - just turned off the glance screen exception whilst charging...
