Hi guys. My Lumia 950 is en route and I've been googling all day to see which QI charging stands work with the Lumia 950. I already have the Nokia DT-910, but it seems to be hit or miss.

Tylt Vu, Spigen F300W, & Choetech T516- reportedly works fine

Are there any other charging stands out there that I should consider?

I understand that the DT-910 doesn't work with the 950XL... but I have a DT-910 at my office and home and they're both working fine with the 950. Nothing hit or miss about it so far, though I only got my 950 a few days ago. Doesn't charge as quickly as plugging it in, but even when I let the battery go down below 50%, it was at 100% when I woke up the next morning. It won't charge with even a thin case on it though.

I understand that you might get faster charging with the 3-coil stands that have the higher amperage supplies, but my 950 is working just fine when standing upright so far.

I bought the Ghost 110 wireless charging base directly from MS (on sale!) and it works great so far. I have one at home as well as work.

Hello,

for me the dt-910 would not work at all. I now have the Ghost 110 and it works fine just not as quick to charge as being plugged in which is understandable.

the dt-900 does work with the 950, it's just a matter of lining it up correctly... line up the bottom of the phone with the base (where the led is) and slide it up half an inch.

Thanks guys. I also have the Nokia DT-900 charging pad, but I need a stand for the bedside. I also have the Mozo back on order...we will see what happens.

I have the BestBuy insignia something or other....not at home, don't remember the model number, small square one about $20, works great.

Received my L950, placed it onto my DT-910 and its charging! Still waiting for my Mozo cover to arrive to test.

Looking forward to seeing your report on how the Mozo does with the DT-910. Been using both my DT-910 stands with the 950 without any issues yet, but only with the stock case.

I've been using my DT-910 with my L950 every night since the phone was released, never had a problem. I don't have a separate case on the phone, using as is out of the box. I have heard that adding a case to the phone can cause problems with the DT910 ability to charge.

Ok guys...sorry this took forever... it turns out that my phone does not charge afterall. Its close enough where it activates and appears to be charging, but after an overnight trial, my battery level remained at 86%. Maybe it was indeed charging, but it was just off center and wasn't charging enough to increase my battery level. And this is WITH my Mozo cover installed.

I just took apart my DT-910 and moved the entire coil up ~5mm. I placed my phone on the charging stand and after 15 minutes, I observed that it was indeed charging and went from 42% to 46%... again this is with Mozo cover installed.

You could take a DT 900 and tape it to a business card holder from office depot to make a stand. Just line it up, bend the card holder to the right height. I drilled holes into my nightstand and screwed it in so it is solid.

Did you have a tutorial for this? I would love to do this but haven't found any good YouTube vids on taking the dt-910 apart.

I was just working on a write-up... I didn't take my own pics, but I grabbed these pics off the internet:

1- Insert small flat head screwdriver and carefully remove the bottom cover from the base by working your way around the base. This part comes off relatively easily:

2- Once you've removed the bottom cover, remove the 4 screws that attach the charging plate to the stand:

3- Gently wiggle the charging plate to get it loose from the stand. If you look carefully at the stand, there are 2 tabs that also snap into place holding the charging plate to the stand.... gently de-press these and wiggle to separate the plate from the stand:

4- Once you have the plate separated from the stand, carefully pry apart the plate like you did with the base. This part requires a little bit more effort and finesse, but once you've separated it, it should look like this:

5- There isn't much extra wiring inside that connects the plate to the stand, so be very careful!! The entire coil sits on a black plastic plate and is attached via double sided tape. Using a small screwdriver, gently pry apart the charging coil (circled in yellow). DO NOT try to remove the coil itself (grey part).

6- Once you have it removed, slide the entire coil up ~5mm. I recommend adding some 3M automotive double sided tape to ensure it sticks properly. You might have to trim off some plastic on the back cover of the charging plate in order to be able to re-install the cover. I also cut off the top portion of the charging coil holder as seen below in red line:

7- Re-install everything and test it out. Good luck!

I have a DT-900, but it will not charge my 950 xl. When placed on DT-900, the phone indicates that it is charging, but it is actually discharging. After 8 hours on the plate, a 100% charged phone will discharge to 10% (faster than just sitting on a shelf).
