Do you have iPhone envy ?

It kinda depends for me. I feel just fine using WP, however I can't shake that prickling feeling of envy when I notice a carefully crafted app on iOS that I most certainly won't get on WP. And say what you will, but iOS devs care A LOT about the design of their apps, something that is harder to come by in WP.

Still, what makes me feel really envious is the lack of Things. It's seriously the best GTD app I've ever used and I can't get anything close to it on WP.

Nah... And I say this as a former iPhone user (I used the iPhone 4 from summer 2011 until November 2012, when I got my first WP, the Nokia Lumia 810). I love WP and I have every app I need on my phone(s). If I really need an iOS app, well, that's what my iPod touch is for.

Out of interest, what did you think was missing?

Well nothing really missing but i didn`t find any thing eye catching. I'm not saying iOs is bad but it is even more boring than WP. I missed something new to try out.

I have an old iPhone 4 that I pop my sim card into whenever I'm doing something somewhat risky (going boating, hiking, going to the bars, etc.) so that I don't have to be scared about dropping it. That being said, I've been using my iPhone regularly for the last 2 weeks to try and make WP8.1 feel brand new to me when it comes out and it has reminded me how incredible iMessage is. Nearly every single one of my friends has an iPhone and it really is convenient to use iMessage to chat with them, and the ability to send messages off my computer is great as well. I know it would never happen, but I would really love if Apple made iMessage cross-platform as it is truly the only thing I am envious of.

I guess I would have to say I envy their market share along with Samsung. If you want an accessory for a Windows Phone, you pretty much have to order it online, without actually getting to see it, feel it, physically compare it with other accessories, etc. I went to my local Fry's and Best Buy within the last couple weeks and both stores have entire aisles dedicated iPhone accessories and Samsung accessories with some other locations for other popular brands such as HTC and LG. Do you know how many cases for Nokia phones they had? 0. Not a single one.

Absolutely not
I spend my work days working with tech in general - so I'm among the first to get the new iphones in my hands to play around a bit before handing over to my users.
So far, absolutely nothing appealing enough to switch though obviously the feel/quality feels nice

Was an Android user before switching to wp, only used high end devices as I was pretty much free to chose.

No envy here. In fact back when Verizon basically screwed over all the KIN users they finally decided to make it right by offering users any phone that they wanted that Verizon carried, free of charge with no contract extension. Sounds like an awesome deal right?

The phone I ordered from them had a ton of issues and I had to fight with them about returning it and getting a replacement...so finally when they caved I ordered the highest end iPhone 4 they had at the time and then turned around and sold it within a day or two, canceled my service (I was fighting for almost a month with them) and went to Sprint with a nice bundle of cash that paid for a couple months of service and my HTC Arrive. I loved that phone...until Nokia came on the scene in the US with their WP devices.

I recently bought an iPad and I love iOS. However the current iPhones are too small for my taste, and I also think if WP8.1 brings the missing features, and it really looks like it does, then I think WP is just as great.

I like that I can send and receive files via bluetooth (cannot do that with iOS),

but he can send audio and video files from his library via whatsapp or any other IM which we cant..
I envy for two things 1) flawless app store 2) metal body of iphone

My original iPad mini got terrible performance after iOS 7 (worse than the Lumia 520)

Nope, not in India. Moto X is INR 24,000 (USD 400) while Nexus 5 is INR 30,000 (USD 500), Also Moto X has some innovative functions and Motorola knows battery management.

For God shake no!!! Not when i had lumia 800 and absolutely not now that i have the Lumia 920. Wp are smooth, stylish and simple.

Now that wp8.1 is coming there is no way to ever feel envy

This is crazy. Why would you not like the phone you chose and buy and like instead another phone?
If you like the iPhone, by all means buy one. If you are ashamed to have a Lumia, you shouldn't have one.

I love my Lumia and everything about it makes me proud, the OS, how it works, the app ecosystem, updates, the looks, etc. What is, this, about having gadget shame? You guys need to turn it down a couple of notches.
