Does Microsoft Lumia 535 works on 2g network in Serbia?

Hi to all!
I am preparing my self for buying my new WP. And i am considering to buy new Microsoft Lumia 535. I have read somewhere on the internet that these phone is not working with G2 network. Is that true?
Couse i am living in eastern part of Serbia and here i can only get acses to G2 network.
Will i make mistake with buying these phone if it does not working on G2 network.??
