Does text "re-flow" after zooming in on browser?

Hi 830 users,

Before I take the plunge :) can anyone tell me if, when you double-tap to zoom in while browsing, does the text "re-flow" / resize to fit the display area available on the 830?

My only previous experience of using Windows Phone was an early release back in 2012 (can't remember the model number), and on this phone, when you double-tapped to zoom, the words became bigger, but the user had to scroll left and right across the page to read, rather than the text re-flowing so you just had to scroll up and down. I'm keen to avoid this (frankly disappointing) scenario again, and it's difficult so far to find a shop in Ireland that's carrying this phone to check this out myself, so I'd be grateful if an existing user/s could clarify this for me.

Thanks a lot.

No IE on windows phone doesn't text reflow. I also wanted this feature, but then "Reader mode" came along in 8.1 and it's far better than text reflow in my old android browser. Same solution as iOS. Now I don't miss text reflow at all.

That's a terrible idea. The website would be constantly adjusting every time you zoom in or out. It would be imposible to zoom into a specific area. No it works as if it has a fixed normal size and then zooming is more like a magnifying glass. At the end of the day mobile browsing is just terrible and you really need a full size monitor. Its not nearly as bad on the 6" 1520, but its still can't touch a 27" monitor.

That's...... disappointing. I appreciate that reader mode is available, but AFAIK that removes all images from the page you're on, yes? The re-flow on Android browsers works great, in my opinion, but at least I now know for sure one way or the other. Thanks for the info.

It doesn't remove all the pictures I think. It depends how the website is laid out, if they are in the text body I think it keeps them and puts them in line. Pictures on the sides eg adverts are removed.
