facebook trauma!

Hi all

I am new to the forum so forgive me if I place this message in the wrong place.

I am completely in love with my 820, however over the last few days I have had issues where facebook on my 820 is not syncing with my actual facebook - it tells me "dave has commented on your status" so I think ooooh I wonder what he has said? so I swipe in to have a look and there is nothing and that is the same with several status's - but they do appear on pc facebook

any sugggestions?

(all updates are done and yes I have switched it off and back on again!

IDK, I experienced the same thing today, but have never noticed it before. I wonder if it is an issue on microsoft's or Facebook's side of the fence?

I have had similar problems. I will check Facebook throughout the day on my 900 and have no notifications. Then when I get home 6 people commented on my status and I had no clue. Not sure who is at fault here.

Maybe you have to go into your facebook account settings and allow wp to have access.

I am not a facebook users, but I think I remember something about security setting, and if it's set to not allow 3rd party applications to access your or your friends contact list, or something like that, it won't work.

I am also having the same issue, some post in the ME title do not show comments yet others do, I am also having it hang on those same threads on the Facebook App.

I think this needs to be moved to WP7 General Discussion.

Thanks for your report. I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it.

I moved it to the 800 forum. General discussion may have been better.

I've noticed the same issue on my end and my coworker has the same issue... glitches like this happen anytime Facebook makes some stupid change to their API's, and they usually fix themselves after a few days.

That's what I am thinking. I've got the security settings set up fine. It's a sometimes glitch. Not al the time.

Also keep in mind that facebook probably has a million users online 24/7, along with hackers 24/7 trying to backend the servers and steal information or deface the site.

The Facebook app is the worst in terms of wp experience. The app is way subpar and MS needs to invest in it in wp8 to being it to par with other platforms.
