Firmware update for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00027.15506.020xx

I have searched through all the comments on articles about this update - It appears people on insider build .36 (anywhere in the world) are not receiving this update. Can anyone out there confirm they are getting this update whilst being on .36 Insider Build?

Posting your region/country would help. This is a worldwide rollout update as per Microsoft.

Im on UK EE .36 was not insider but I am now and made no difference

I've asked on many forums, including Reddit, and no one on the Insider program has received it yet. I pinged Gabe and MS on Twitter. @Lumia said they'd pass the feedback on. I'm sure they already know by now anyway.

950XL CV Australia, .36 and no update.
my friend on Optus with 950XL received the update. he is on .29

36 update was for insider only, correct? Maybe that is issue, that those on 29 can get and 36 not??

It looks like a firmware update, probably it depends on the carrier.

On my 950 XL I'm on .29 and can't get the firmware with OR without insider installed. I can't get the .36 update either even after a hard reset and redoing insider.

Things just seems ****ed right now.

I had the same problem on .29. I signed out of Insider app twice to be sure it said I wasn't registered, then I ended up using the WDRT to downgrade to original build, it automatically found .29 and updated. Then, went to insider to sign in and select fast, found .36 after that. PITA, but it worked. I am in the US and still no firmware update.

A person in Australia reported in the Microsoft Forums that he sees the update when he/she hooks on to the WDRT. That person also said they are running the .36 build version.
I am running the .36 build version as well, however I left the Insider program and did a hard reset. So, I am hanging tight to see if I get the firmware update :wink:

That person is on crack lol. I have my 950 XL plugged into WDRT right now and the new firmware and .36 update is NOT showing.

I'm going to do ANOTHER hard reset and see if I can get the new firmware too. I'm still stuck on .29, never got the .36 from the WI anyway.

LOL....Good luck. I did the hard reset after I had updated to .36 while and insider and now the Insider App is one and I am on .36 and the phone runs very smooth and no bus so far! Now if I can get that firmware update and see what it does for the phone...will report here if I do!

If you care to read here is a post from the Microsoft Forum regarding the Firmware update and there is a post there regarding someone seeing the update when hooked to WDRT.

I see the screen shot they posted, mine has a different firmware than their on the handset so that may be why they see it and I don't. I have 454. Awesome lol.

Im on .36 on my 950XL DS Unlocked (Europe) and just installed WDRT and it says I have a firmware update.
