Forcing Restart

Hi Folks,

I love my Lumia 920 but sometimes the restarts arising out of nothing suck! However, my Lumia 920 freezed after the last restart and nothing worked anymore. I found out how to force the Lumia 920 to restart even when nothing seems to work:

Press and hold the start button and low volume button for at least 15 secs!

Perhaps it might help someone!

Hi Marcus.

Your phone shouldn't be having a problem with random restarts. You might have hardware issue.

If you are getting somewhat common random restarts, you may want to return it and get a replacement.

I actually had this issue happen to me on my 920 this morning. Charged to full, unplugged it, put in my pocket. Went to send a text 10 or 15 minutes later and it was dead. Stone dead. Plugged in for 10 minutes, and got nothing. So, I tried the reset trick. It worked, and nothing was lost, which was odd. So, I backed everything up, and plan on making a trip to my AT&T store today after work to see about swapping it out.

I turned off all background Apps and switched to 3G and what should I say...it did not randomly restart anymore! Hopefully it is no accident of fate

This might because you have a google account being synced as imap2, have you tried removing it?

there is a three button reset as well - i think it wipes your data though, but if you have auto backup on you will recover.

How to: Reset the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900 yes it says 800 and 900, but its the same procedure.
