GDR3/Update 3 (Official consumer release, not developer preview)

What is CSC, and ATO? Also why don't microsoft make an announcement with all the dates and the countries will GDR3 be released? I had it on my ativ S but in preview and it was faulty I gave it to the manufacturer to intall the previous update.

the subsequent update after the dev preview did not work for firmware.... i will have to wait wp8.1 and then i will reflesh my Whole device from rom, but it's quite annoying

with that version of the OS you should now be able to update to GDR3 using preview for developers app.

I'm in AUS and have been running it since preview for developers came out.

Didn't think I'd get great advice from you from 2 sources. (WPCentral & Whirlpool)
Anyway, didn't end up flashing GDR2. The ETL CRC worked for getting official GDR2.
Downloaded Preview for Developers (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-au/s...velopers/178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96) as you suggested, registered for App Studio (Windows Phone App Studio | Microsoft) and getting my GDR3 update as we speak.
I owe you a stubby, I reckon. :grin:

Got an update today, stated as "Samsung Update for Windows Phone". I was already on latest GDR3 preview, guess I got the firmware part from Samsung. Firmware version: 2424.13.10.1, OS version (the same as before update): 8.0.10521.155

Folks,

I have the developer preview GDR3/Update but I am now unable to check for updates either with Prev enabled or disabled. When I go to software update section on the settings page it just sits on the "Checking for Updates..." and doesn't stop. if the phone times out or I go into another app the update is interrupted and I am given the message that "Cannot check for updates at this time...." any suggestions.

hey i also got an update today and im in Switzerland. its been updating and stuck in the cog spinning screen for the past 1 hour. what should i do? i soft reset the phone but it went bakto the screen again... i also have preview GDR3 installed before this... what update is this anyway??

Still no GDR3 here in Italy for my NoBrand Ativ S with CSC: DBT (German).
