How can I find what app is turning GPS location on?

I caught again the GPS location icon on the bar. Something is turning location on and I don't know who or why.

How can I find what app is using location or is it Windows? I never have location turned on of course, except when I want. But sometimes and only after 8.1, I caught the GPS icon active.

You gonna have to go into the settings of every individual app and turn it off. Anything that is weather or map related will be the culprit.

Probably Cortana, if you allow her to run in the background.

Location cant be turned ON automatically - at least as of today. There might be some app which is using your location details and thats how you will see location icon.
One app you might miss from your list which is using your location is - Calendar. Since it has weather feature, it has settings to use your location.

I'm in Portugal. I don't use Cortana and almost everything is not allowed to run in the backgroud.

I did had the "use location" on calendar, so I turned it off. I did use the calendar a few hours ago. This could be the one.

Yesterday I caught the GPS icon on again, so it is not the calendar this time. I do have to find who app is using my GPS without my permission.

I bet you have security to find your phone ON. So it save your location tine to time.
If you don't like it just disable it.

Go to "todas a defini??es" > "localizar telemovel" > disable second check
