So I have some eats from the weekend. I'll post them separately... to keep the excitement. :P

Here's lunch on Saturday. I was at the Old Spitafield's Market. We decided to try out a new restaurant. This place is a Latin inspired place called Las Iguanas. This may look like a normal burger but it's not, neither is the coleslaw on the side, which was spicy.

They did tapas as well but we weren't in the mood.

This was the most quintessentially British lunch, a choice of gammon, turkey or beef with a sauce if you want (e.g. Turkey comes with cranberry) then some gravy and roast potatoes. Lunch of champions!

So we made our way to our second 'celebrity chef' restaurant. The first one we went to was a bistro that's owned by Gordon Ramsey.

Anyway, this is the 'rustic Italian' restaurant at the InterContinental in London by an up and coming chief Theo Randall. He just got a new TV series where he takes on a protege. The food was good and generally good value. We got a bit of deal so it wasn't too expensive. It's not a Michelin star or anything. I didn't take a picture of our first course as it was just a plate of Italian cold cut meats.

Starter - some bruschetta and bread

Second - ravioli in a butter and sage sauce

Main - slow cooked lamb shoulder
