Tuna dish at one of my favourite restaurants. Sad to say was not impressed at all. Chef had changed and seems like it went downhill. Even presentation looks sloppy IMO.

To celebrate the 1st of Porktober, I bought a pork tenderloin yesterday and seasoned it with herbes de provence before baking it. This morning for breakfast, I made a pork tenderloin sandwich.

Wednesday lunch - grilled veggie burger with a full jalapeno, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese and fixins. Yogurt granola parfait, jalapeno chips and lemongrass tea to drink. The veggie entr?e looked iffy so I took the safe route.

Wednesday dinner - whole grain paratha (an Indian bread) with spiced guar beans, onions and potatoes. Very tasty.

FYI - guar beans yield guar gum which is used as a thickener/preservative in a lot of foods. Next time you read that gum on the ingredients list you now know where it is derived from. The guar beans fetch quite a bit of money to farmers in India. We had a very high yield plant in Phoenix....kinda miss my veggie garden....

I know that, still can't figure a paratha like a bread, Is a bread fried too? :p

Yes - there is such a thing called fry bread that Native Americans make, Mexicans have sopapillas, fried taco shells, Venezuelans eat a variation out of corn and in India you get paratha, puri, bhature, parotta (layered south Indian paratha), thepla (gujarati) etc...
