I craved for a cheeseburger, but couldn't force myself to go out. Instead I grilled myself a giant CHEESEBURGER. Ended much much bigger than i thought it would be.

Lunch today- Grilled portobello mushroom and zucchini sandwich with feta cheese and grilled jalape?os. Side dish was a pasta tossed with Marinara and Gorgonzola sauce and a chocolate chip cookie

Marinated rib steaks cut in half since we don't eat like we used to.
Soaked in Blackstone Merlot with a rub I buy from a grocer here.



5 minutes on the first side then flipped and 3 minutes both sides on high.



Of course me favorite beer was included



I love to guzzle a few and barbeque!

Wine is a great marinade for beef. It really tenderizes it well.

A french chef pointed out to us that it's a sin to use cheap wine to cook with.
She said "If you wouldn't drink and enjoy a wine why would you cook with it?"

Been cooking with our stock wines ever since.
Hankering to make the crockpot chili now...with wine :smile:

It's one of the easier words in Finnish.

The 'aa' is a long sounding 'a' as in apple. The 'kk' just means it's pronounced harder, 'k' as in coke. Finnish is phonetic so you pronounce all the letters.
