When a Press volume up and down at the same time, repeatedly, the phone screen flashes them goes back to normal and the phone vibrates. What is this for and has this always existed?

That is weird. Three rapid presses of volume up+down result in three vibrations and what look like a screen reset.

Volume Up and Volume down at the same time. 3 rapid presses, like a triple click.

It's definitely something programmed into the OS. It's not random but a very specific input and response. It could just be something as simple as a vibrate check. It feels like the phone echoes your clicks back.

Otherwise, I see nothing useful here other than something of curiosity.

Yeah, I read about this on WMPoweruser a day or two ago. No idea what it does though, just kinda weird that it even does this.
