Indian phone shows carrier as cv malaysia

I have a lumia 520 bought from kerala, india.
After amber update, it shows carrier : Cv malaysia

how can i change to india???

Firm ware version number it shows: 3046.0000.1329.2004

why does it happens; how can i get firm ware version belongs to india????

Please help

Looks like your 520 has a Malaysian ROM installed. I am also from India and have a 820 with Qatar ROM but it works fine with Docomo and other Indian carriers.
So try this : Check for any updates, if yes update your device. Check again for update, if yes update. keep doing this until it says 'you are up to date'. (i did the same ; i had multiple back to back updates coming in when i brought the device)

You can't change the ROM through updates. If you desperately want the Indian CV for some reason, you will have to flash your phone.

I didn't ask him to change the ROM by flashing it, I told him to simply update his device. Because i had gone through exactly what he is going through.
After I brought my device I immediately updated it (it was the time when Black was released) so i expected black (Had amber) but some other firmware updates showed up. Maybe what his device needs are those updates.

thank you guys.

actually i want to have black update, but when i tried, it showed your device is up-to-date(updated to amber 2 months back).
dats y i checked the carrier details.
and in malaysia carrier black update is not active so far; but it shows active for indian.
So I have asked for it.
Now let me know how can I "flash" so that my ROM will be as Indian????
and let me know will there be any de-merit due to this???

There are no demerits that I know of. You need Navifirm and Nokia Care Suite. Download the firmware files using Navifirm, and install using NCS. The product code for RM-914 VAR IMEA IN CV is 059S1N6
