Is it okay if I buy SB2 from US? What are the things I need to take care of?

I'm from India. There's a huge price difference between US and Indian SB. So I'm thinking to buy from US.
What about warranty? Does it carry Global warranty?
And frankly, do I even have to worry about warranty?
