Kindle live tile won't update

I've gotten the latest Kindle update on my Lumia 920. After first updating, the app wouldn't run so I uninstalled and re-installed it. Now, the app appears to work fine but the live tile never does anything. I've just got a big orange rectangle. I though it's supposed to show info about your books etc. Does this work for anyone else?

Are you currently reading a book in the WP8 Kindle app? I had to open a book, and turn a page, then mine started working.

Yes. I've opened several books.

Try removing the tile then re-pinning it.
