Hey guys! My friend bought 535 two days ago and he was also complaining about the touch lag and responsiveness, and I found out that the screen magnifier was turned on, after turning off the screen magnifier the touch was very smooth and responsive. Try this out if it can help you. It would be better to try this option out other than replacing the handset. You can turn off the screen magnifier(settings->ease of access->screen magnifier).

Please post your feedback, so it can help other people as well.

This fixed my screen which makes me accidentally open apps while scrolling!

Excellent tip mate, cheers! :)

I carried out the recovery tool option at the weekend and it appears to have worked.
I thought the last update had all but cleared it up but was still getting intermittent 'wobbles'.
The firmware version offered by the recovery tool includes the update (02055.00000.14511.22002).
I backup up the phone, used the recovery tool and rebuilt the phone.
Since Saturday I've had no problems with touch and/or double tap.

On an even lighter note I've also recovered half a gig (500mb) of space thanks to the rebuild, temp files?
Who knows but at present more than happy.

It still have problems, scrolling up web pages it will magnify, press delete it will often type V or other letters, swype and it will not register and add spaces between your words. How can you consider this to be fine? I have the latest just released version from the service center.

Maybe Microsoft testers think like you or are one finger, and slow typist like you. Then of course you'll not have any such problems as it seems to be working nicely.

Got the UK single SIM version yesterday. The touchscreen update was already pre-installed. Had a few issues with stuttering, but switching off the screen magnifier fixed everything.

Not noticed anything wrong when typing on the keyboard or using multi-touch gestures.

Its not quite as sensitive as my Lumia 830, but its as good as any other Lumia I've used.

Ouch, jesus pal that's some chip you've got on that there shoulder!
Don't have a go at me because your phone doesn't work the way you want it to.
What you've listed is what I used to experience before the hard reset.
I do/can type with more than one finger and swype quite proficiently however I cannot claim to be a 'speed demon' like apparently are.
Anyway, my 535 works, your doesn't. Sell it and get something else, simple.

Guys, if the last patch didn't work for your 535 (it apparently has resolved the majority of users), then you should refer to your locak Nokia Care Center who will be aware of the problem and should offer a repair service for you. Flashing and hacking won't really solve the problem if the latest update didn't.

Had one but the screen was so bad re. touch sensitivity that I returned it to Amazon. There is definitely a production/hardware issue with the screen. If this would not have been, I would have kept the phone, it's a perfect device re. price/bang for the buck. To bad MS screwed this up - wonder what they will do with all the returns :).

I'm retracting my statement about my single sim UK version working well. It has been working for a couple of days, I noticed it couldn't track more than 3 fingers properly (which isn't a concern for me), but then today its had major trouble detecting two fingers at once, making playing any game which required two fingers impossible to play. :-(

My question is, anybody has no touch sensitivity problems?

I bought the 535 couple of days ago and all working great here! It had the update preinstalled and so far all good.

Update : Just tested the multitouch with a piano app and yes the problem is there..2 fingers are ok but 3 and above the screen goes crazy....
