List here what you DO NOT like on 8.1.

Had a go with my friends Nokia 920 today and compared it to my Iphone 4S, the overall experience is still a millions times more interesting on the Nokia, the home screen with its backdrop is wonderful to view apposed to the tedious static display on the iphone, the people hub even though i guess its lost some of its integration is still so much more advanced than having to open twitter, then close it and open facebook etc individually, waiting each time for them to update, the 4S is not much slower than the 5, yet the Nokia was a lot faster to get the same information. the keyboard is totally mind blowingly fast and more responsive than the same old iphone keyboard, OK on the Iphone I am so used to swiping up for toggles and down for notifications, but on the Nokia the notifications are more like Android and i always missed that with the iphone...all in all think yourselves lucky you all have a far more advanced experience than I am with my Iphone.

For me its the biggest problem of WP. The only function I really miss.

Seeing the direction they're taking with apps... I bet you the Onedrive app will become the file manager everyone is asking for. I'm expecting to see it operate the same as the Windows 8 app. Choose between OneDrive and ThisPC.

Already there's people complaining about File Manager again? Well, the new API is available. And this is just a Preview. People must sit down and wait a bit more.

Other thing I don't liked was the fact I was spoiled by the new lockscreen apps and they're still not available, like the Project my Screen via USB software for my PC.

Well, If I waited 18 months to get 8.1, I can just sit down and wait for these a bit more too...

1. Cortana shows temperatures in Faranhait. She can convert them on Celsius, but is possible to set up Celsius as default?
2. Is Cortana can lisen ALL THE TIME? Witchout pressing microfone icon? Even when phone is locked?
3. How to set other browser as default ?

- Action centre toggles aren't real toggles. A tap should activate or deactivate the toggle and a long tap should bring up said toggle's settings;
- No data connection toggle (seriously?)
- Games appearing in the app list and Xbox Hub... Why two locations?
- Can't stop Music app from syncing with the cloud... Messed up my tags and album art thanks to that. Also, generally speaking, the music app sucks;
- Calendar tile still only shows one appointment;
- Changing the way we move the cursor on text was trying to fix something that wasn't broken, ending up effectively breaking it in the process. Seriously, IMO this was one thing where WP was actually ahead of other OS and now it's exactly the same as them;
- Pictures from the Screenshot Folder can only be shared through e-mail, Onenote or Facebook. No full list of sharing options like the Saved images or Camera Roll;

To be continued...

Another thing i don't like is that they deleted the notification section in the me tile. For me it's useless now!

I was just debating that in another thread. I used to use it to get information on when my "close friends" did things in Facebook.

Now it's just a picture of me flipping around.

Honestly, I think this upgrade is more a downgrade. Every single thing where Windows Phone was better than Android or iOS is now gone. No hubs, no good me tile, text cursor, etc. etc.

Alright, Text Cursor is better now imo. The old one sucked for me. The ME tile was always terrible for me. It shall not be missed, and now the facebook app is faster. Although I recommend making a group of your close friend sin the people hub and pinning it to the start screen.

I hate the way the new tabs behave in the new IE! can't just hit the back button to go back to my previous tab with it still being open. I wish they would add a "open to background tab" sort of like UC Browser has!

I found this on uservoice...it only has a few votes. I couldn't find any with more votes. So how about going and upvoting this one a bit more!

And as mentioned before what's the deal with Facebook integration in the peoples hub? What's Ms planning for US? Do we use the app? No more integration?wtf!

How do you change the temperature in Cortana and Calendar app from Fahrenheit to Celsius? I can do it in the (Bing) Weather app but in Cortana and Calendar app they show temperature in oF.

Tell Cortana to change the temperature in Celsius, it will show you the temperature in Celsius.

System video player still doesn't allow to manually rewind/fast forward playback. Would be nice if the keyboard recognized language of the content and intelligently changed touch flow's dictionary.

Well, the temperature being in Fahrenheit... That's why they warned us it was a beta and it was a US beta at that. We all know the temperature unit in the US is Fahrenheit.

Now, the temperature being stuck in Fahrenheit for the calendar on the other hand... I cannot come up with an excuse for that one, except that as far as I know the temperature in the calendar is managed by Cortana I think.

1. Facebook and Twitter integration. They aren't any more. I used to post to both simultaneously with my live tile... No longer available.

All apps will be able to integrate with the People Hub. The FB needs to be reworked to have that functionality.

I am having serious battery draining issues since the update. I we went into battery sense and went down to the bare bones. I am charging my phone now and it is still draining. All day long my outlook and google email accounts have been syncing. I think this may be the issue. My outlook account FINALLY synced a short while ago. My GOOGLE account is still syncing and I believe is the culprit for the battery drain. I am still switching email accounts to outlook,I know.. I still rely on google. I am wondering if others are having syncing problems with google email? 1020 on att. I can't delete the account while it is syncing, so my damn battery will continue to drain. Any ideas??

My battery drainage slowed way down after everything was synced and updated. Hopefully you will see the same thing. Of course, I have been messing around with the phone much more often, which obviously impacts things also.

I miss the old charging sound, and the photo carousel when you pinch out a photo
I'm glad they got rid of the sound. Now I can go to bed if my wife is already sleeping and put my phone on the charger without having to worry about waking her, or my having to turn the sound off and then turn it on again when it is on the charger so that I can hear my alarm in the morning.

You missed what I'm saying. Pre-8.1, you had a setting to where you could unlock the phone, hold down the Search button, and Bing would come up. You didn't have to actually swipe the wallpaper away. I used that feature a lot, as someone would ask me something, I'd double-tap to wake, hold down Search, and be at Bing. I'd like to have that back, as it's more-efficient.

No, I didn't miss what you are saying. I know that you could get bing to load directly that way as I used it as well. Regardless, if you key a search into the bar at the bottom after loading Cortana with one tap on the search button, you can do the exact same bing search and get the exact same information from bing you would have in the way you are describing.
