Since the headphone issue has reappeared again (I changed to more new headphones and cannot insert them as forcefully -- I am afraid I will break them), I still think the loudspeaker is too distorted, and there is a bright blue stuck pixel on the phone (hardly noticeable during the day, but easy to spot in a dark bedroom at night), I decided to return my 635 and ask Amazon for a replacement.
With my typical lack of luck for electronics, the replacement also has the occasional headphone detection issue and ALSO has a bright blue pixel (and almost in the same place, too!). So when I asked Amazon what were my options, they decided to stop selling the 635 while they investigate...

I am SO unlucky when it comes to screens. I have a total of 6 screens at home (these two phones, two monitors at my desktop, my laptop and my TV) and 5 of those 6 have pixel problems, 4 of which quite noticeable (one of them is a dead black pixel, which is not that noticeable).
