Except for reversing what I actually said If 1. Press and hold camera button to wake up the phone is not checked, then # 2 Prevent accidental camera launch when phone is locked, if checked will never launch the camera while locked in any circumstance. And Yes 1 ticked and 2 not ticked will only launch camera if woken from sleep, but not while it's locked, WILL launched while locked because 2 Prevent accidental camera launch when phone is locked was not checked. I agree and if you don't agree then my 830 works different than your or how Nokia ( after several calls) says it should.

You got me all confused, but yeah should be right in my first post.

Does anybody have a problem with back cover? I love all colors, so I bought original green and white covers to my orange one. But the green didn't fit properly, so I returned it and bought another one from different seller, but the same situation - this one doesn't fit too. There is a little gap between cover and frame. I don't get it, orange and white ones fit perfectly with no gaps. Does anybody have a same problem with green back plate?

I have all 4 colors, and while they don't all fit absolutely perfectly, none of them has a gap as large as that. The green one is fine.

My phone just got a lot of (over 100 at least) stuck/dead green and red pixels, no idea where these came from.

Had my phone since it came out, two months ago or so - never dropped it either.

I always look at my phone before falling asleep, but yesterday I saw these dead/stuck pixels immediately when I pulled down the notificationcenter. You can see them very clearly when you have the highest brightness and black screen. Didn't see these the other day, so they must have appeared sometime yesterday.

I will now RMA this phone, they should easily detect all these pixels.

I have the same problem. First appeared along the left side of the screen, now across the right. I have so many stuck pixels, it looks like a haze on each side of the screen.

What causes this? Were you able to get this fixed?

I have no idea what the cause is behind this. I think it's just bad luck. Every screen can get dead/stuck pixels. I also had them appearing at the left side of screen at first, but then they came along the right side as well.

My phone is still in RMA, since they are retards at the service and can't find the pixels... Third time I sent it back now and waiting for it....
Only thing they did was reprogramming the software, it even got sent to Microsoft, and even they did only a software reset and nothing else....

As there are 17 pages, I didn't wade through them all. I picked up an 830 and notice that it can take upwards of 2 minutes to send a sms. This is completely random in it's happenings I can send several and get two or three in a row. I can have it happen first message of the day then have it happen once several hours later. I'm using an AT&T phone with a Cricket SIM (USA) and I've used said SIM in an iPad with no issues for data. The data connection is fine as is the calling connection it only effects sms from what I can find.

I have the exact same problem, there is a huge amount of non-black pixels along both sides of the screen when looking at a black screen. I'm not sure, but I think there was only one dead pixel in the middle when I got the phone. The problem on the sides seems to have appeared later on.

Did you get yours replaced?

Hi, jumping in here. I got my 830 delivered last week new. It had 2 flashing pixels that could only be seen on a black screen. I sent it back and got a replacement handset. This one looks good so far, if it develops dead pixels again i'm going to have to change the phone, some things I can live with and dead pixels aren't one! It really annoys me. :eek:rly:

So in short mine didn't get repaired it got replaced under the 28 day warranty.

This is getting worse. Cortana is being triggered by touching left edge of the phone. Is this a software or hardware bug? It's becoming more often

Moved from 820 to 830 recently. Pretty happy with it so far. I have noticed one thing that battery never seems to show 100% and it maxes out at 99%. Doesn't matter how long I keep it on charge. Is that something that I should worry about ?

Has anyone had problems connecting to WiFi? All the parameters are present in the 'Manage' section. But there is no access to the internet even if the phone connects. This has not been resolved after a hard reset and update to denim.

Well I'm not sure if mine is having WiFi issues or not, with both cellar data and WiFi on sometimes I'll get an error when sending an email that it cannot send, today I tried sending some pics via email and it just stayed in my inbox (no errors), wasn't until after I turned off WiFi that I was able to send.

All seems fine for the most part but on occasion my text, email, FB or even WC will fail to connect, not a regular occurrence but way more than I've seen on any other device I've ever owned, next time it crops up I'll have to turn off WiFi to see if that resolved the issue.

So there have been a lot of comments about the capacitative buttons (the "back", "windows/menu", and "search/Cortana" buttons at the bottom of the screen) not working, or not being very sensitive. On my L830, the search button doesn't work, and sometimes the back button takes several attempts. Many commenters have said that the trouble stems from screen protectors.

Well, my screen protector got a big scratch in it, so I ordered a replacement (thanks, Skinomi! you made it painless, unlike when I tried to get a replacement Zagg cover for my iPhone ...) - Yesterday I took the old screen protector off, and bingo! all three buttons work great. So there you have it. I'll probably cut the bottom off the new protector.

Yes, I am having the same problem about capacative buttons skipping sometimes. I was also blamin my under sized screen guard, but is it a common problem?
