The Nokia Lumia 920 wired and wireless charger, are too weak to charge the Battery.
I have therefore bought a 2.2A charger and now the problem is over.
You will need to charge it serveral times before improvement is seen!!!

Well, after all of my complaining recently, my 920 has pleasantly surprised me. I last charged it 1 day and 6 hours ago and it's now at 39% and telling me I have 1 day and 20 hours remaining. Obviously, I'll be charging it tonight, but this is much nicer than seeing it saying 9 hours and 17 minutes at 100% like it was doing a few days ago.

mine isn't, I expected a little more about lumia's battery, it drains quickly, don't know if it is because I'm on the first week of it, but later, I'll definetly buy a more powerful charger, hope it works

I guess this is the trick: I charged my L920 with charger supplied with Samsung galaxy S3 and surprisingly my lumia is holding charge much better today. I guess i will be using samsung charger for lumia 920 now onwards

Hi, more updates.

Now it seemed clear that Proshot was not the problem. Some apps somehow would turn on by themselves. I noticed this a few weeks ago, and have paid special attention not to press any button accidentally. This doesn't happen often, maybe a couple of times every weeks. But when it happened, my battery drained severely (-25%+) It is not a big issue for me...a soft-reset would resolve the problem.

This is my battery life after downloading 6GB of data on my nexus 7 using Internet Sharing on my 920.
Setting : LTE -on for 9hours,
Internet Sharing/WiFi -on for 60-70mins
It took 60-70mins to finish downloading the 6GB file.

I will tell you my own story...
3 days ago I bought my brand new phone, I was totally excited, the UI is great but when I noticed the battery I realized that the phone was almost dead in only 3 hours since the full charge I was absolutely surpised even when I had heard about battery issues in the Lumia 920, but day by day, things went going better the second day the battery last 7 hours. Then the next day (Having done a battery reset, going to 0% and then to 100%) the battery gave me 14 hours of use and remained at 30% at the end of the day :D (I'm a hard user). The only thing that I don't like is that everything is fine until I use my 3G conection, the battery drains really quickly, without that I don't have any complain; performance with music is great :D

Same story here.... Everything is (almost) perfect untill im using 3g or h/h+ as the icon says. So keeping it maxed at 2g which is kinda annoying for speed but gives extra life to my battery

My connection is set to 2G, or wi-fi where possible. Dont use 3G much, it just drains like a camel disappearing into quicksand. But even on 2G. if drains unexpectedly.
After reading other users experiences on threads here in WPC, I.....
- I uninstalled Here Drive (Beta+) and Facebook app (I'm using IE to access Facebook)
Plus, have also done the usual manouvers, ie - Diligent clearing the IE tabs
- Set email sync to manual
- Block all background task where possible
- Dont use Rooms (cant seem to invite anyone in for some reason.. or maybe the relatives are avoiding me. Hahaha)
- I've and do use Skype a lot but its not pin to start.
- I'm a heavy Whatsapp user. The toast and live tiles notification doesnt seem to agree with each other. I'm now also using, Stop Music does help
So now I have it charged up at night to start up the day at 100%. By the time I leave the office around 6:00pm, I usually have 30-40% juice left.
Which is much better even though I have to dumb-down the phone. Before this, the battery is usually dry after 8 hours... Oh happy days!!!

i've found being more aggressive with battery charging (whenever its available, just plug it in) is helping maintain a good longevity. I am starting to really believe this battery requires a good chunk of time to get the OS down and manage the life correctly. Obviously its not the case for everyone...i just needed to be more patient than i expected. And coming back to it, i remember it took a good 2 months for my GS3 battery to start getting much better. I;'ve had my L920 since April 22, 2 months now...sounds about right.

Guys, I recharged my 920 with s4's charger (2A) and I noticed an improvement, I got 6 hours more on estimated time life, and the discharge rate got better (7% a hour with LTE)

Wow, my battery performed very good this weekend on low-medium use (30 texts, 2 calls, about 1 hr of Ice Age game, lots of WPC app, plus other stuff like facebook, linkedin, etc). I've also gotta pick up a charger for S4 like mentioned above to coincide.

Guys, now when I use the 1A charger, the phone does not get hot anymore (bad thing, because charging rate is now on 13-20%/hour) and before was around 40 or 50, and I'm not with the 2A charger all the time (which works perfectly), anyone know how to fix it? already tried soft reset

New Lumia 920 (I buy it last saturday):

- Unplugged from charger at 8:30 a.m.
- 3G up to 9:00 a.m. (arriving to work)
- WiFi since 9:00 (always on)
- Whatsapp installed and running

1:41p.m. and the battery at 75%.

Is it good or bad?
