I disabled the background task for Here Drive beta and it seemed to improve my battery by a fair bit

I was able to fix my battery problem. At least what I thought was a battery problem. I have about 7 emails and they are all set to update every 2 hours. I noticed I was getting very slow updates on one of my gmail accounts, so I deleted the account and set everything to manually update. I put the account back on the phone and everything works fine. After about a week, I set all the emails to update again every hour or 2 hours and it's been running fine. A full charge can last me over 12 hours easily with the email updates, some web surfing and reading on kindle. I also try to 'swipe away' the notification about Wifi whenever I am not looking to connect so the phone won't keep looking for Wifi. I hope this helps some people.

Something strange is happening to me the last two days my charging rate has dropped to only 28% per hour (it was about 40% per hour before). This is not a problem since I charge the phone before I go to sleep. but the strange thing is that my battery life has improved a lot! Today I unplugged it at 7:00 am and now (2:00pm) it remains at 92% I have used only 2G today, some messages on whatsapp and a little of facebook on Nokia Xpress also listening to music for three hours normally at this hour and this use the battery would be at 70% or less. In the following days I will try charging my phone with a 2A charger to see what happens.

If you use Whatsapp then install STOP Music to stop the app from running in the volume area. It helped my battery life out.

I picked my phone up off the charger at 7:30 yesterday morning, I put I back on at 3am...I still had 23% left. That to me is a great battery. I am used to HTC's garbage battery life...20+ hours for the 920 is fantastic.

Well, I don't know what's going on then...My battery lasts too much, more than my galaxy S3. For example, yesterday i left the hotel i'm in...around 12:00...i got back around 21:00...i still had 77% of battery. I just set the battery save for untill next charge and it lasts to much...and i do not cut the connection or any app...thankx Nokia!!!

Re: lumia 920 Battery Issues

Been using my nexus 7 charger for a few days now...wow, what a huge difference. I'm getting 1.5 days, that's with data and WiFi always on (data goes between lte and 3g, depending on area im in), battery/weatherflow/simple calender background tasks running, a lot of texts and mms, surfing the net, WPc and other apps. Exceptional...im starting to wonder if a bigger charger should have been packaged with the device.

There have been days where it drains incredibly quick. Some days it lasts much longer. It all depends I guess. Charger makes a difference, huh?

As of now, its still a guess to be honest lol...but its improving. As you mentioned, at times it does drain quicker than others...but I find the standby working better.

Re: lumia 920 Battery Issues

I just changed out battery monitor apps and that jumped me up. My battery life was pretty good, but with more instability than I would like. Battery sense seemed to be doing the draining. I've had GPS and WiFi on, after 8 hours 75% left.

Re: lumia 920 Battery Issues

Ive stopped using aftermarket chargers just the one that came with my Lumia and I'm consistently getting 12+ hrs with heavy social network and weather and battery apps enabled in the background

Tried every trick in the book from full cycling to disabling background apps, xbox music, xbox off, etc. Still no go at solving this thing. I get around 7-8 hours with little to no usage...which is pathetic since by the time I leave work, my 920 is ready to go to sleep. I start any app, the phone gets hot and starts draining like an Indian sewer in monsoon.

Have had 3 920's since launch (AT&T) and two of them have had these battery issues...somebody messed up here big time. As a huge Nokia fan, I wouldn't go back to the 920 if I knew the battery would be a clunker like it is. Can't enjoy my phone at all! Really hope Nokia/Microsoft addresses this in the Amber update.

If you're in a poor cell area that will eat up battery. I have awesome battery life but when I go out to in in laws cell reception sucks and with in hours my phone is dead. Not sure what can be done about that.
