Lumia 920 camera bug after Amber update

Me too. I'm hoping we can get it ourselves through the developer method like GDR3, but I doubt it. I don't like waiting for OTA updates, but it seems that's the way things are done now.

GDR 3 does not fix this issue. Try taking photos with Camera360, it's a free app and works like charm. Although it can take only 5mpx for now but even so, quality is much better

Ive found that the colour is rubbish with camera360, you get dark and light patches around the picture

Yep, for indoor photos indeed something is wrong with 360. For outdoor photos I have found no problems. Curious is that no other application on the store can take quality photos. Seems like this Nokia bug if affecting all photo apps :(

I usually prop my phone up with a something so that I can take 2 of the exact same picture with different apps

Nokia Camera updated. Slight tint reduction or placebo?

Nokia tweeted to me "Thanks. The last week update was to the camera application only. No changes to image settings."

you see, i find this hard to swallow...that there is no change to image settings, as i am now noticing less yellowing of my own photos, and others have posted as such, above.

I kicked up a fuss in Phones4u about the phone having a blown speaker so instead of waiting for a 3rd lot of 2-week repairs, they've promised me a replacement. Fingers crossed.

MrWhiteman

Please clean your lens before taking shots , just mop it with your shirt or something to get much much clearer photos.

It seemed that my 920 took much better pictures before the Amber update-- I was amazed at the quality--now, not so much, although it's still an improvement, somewhat, over the Lumia 900.

I got my phone replaced with a brand new unit (for other reasons) and it's def the same. Software issue.
