My two cents. Muessig asked me a while back how do you become a mod, so he is interested. He asks questions on how to handle things, or why did we do or answer things as we do. He's also asked my opinion on ambassadors and that he notices only 7 or 8 seem to be doing most of the work. I wouldn't sat he's discouraged or anything, but he is aware. My opinion offering someone a mod before him would be a bit of a slap. Or at the least, offer him the choice of mod or ambassador team lead. And let him decide. I agree if he wanted the ambassador team lead, he would do a good job. The other ambassadors seem to like and respect him.
I don't think mase is mod material at this point. He doesn't always do well when not agreed with in a thread. And still has replies not befitting an ambassador, much less a mod. I also think the latest burst of activity is for the purpose of being a mod since he mentioned wanting to be one. Though it benefits the forum, it would've been more impressive if he had just done it on his own as normal routine and be recognized for it, like other ambassadors who have become mods. Asking for edit permissions as an ambassador is kind of a red flag with me. Kind of a power hungry thing. Just not sure if he can handle it yet, or at all.
