No dedicated camera button?

Thanks. Can you access it with the phone locked after you wake it up? It seems like on my 8X the action center is accessible with the phone locked, but I can't remember for sure.

You can set up action center to work when the phone is locked. It's under settings. By putting it there, you can access the camera without unlocking the phone but if you wish to share the image or edit it, you must unlock and enter a password if that's enabled. Exactly like the camera button wake up feature.

Thanks, that's good to know.

On my 1520, I always forget it's there and I usually just use the virtual button. It's a very minor thing. Just go get it!

That is an excellent question. It is one thing for Android users who are so used to not having one, but I am curious to the response from those who had it and now don't.

Will be keeping an eye on this here thread.

FYI - Android users using Sony devices are used to a dedicated camera button. I believe the Xperia line set up is closest to the Nokia set up in terms of buttons - all three of them on the right hand side of the phone - Finland (Nokia) and Sweden (Sony Ericsson) aren't too far apart geographically and that might be the reason the design influence probably trickled over...

I use the camera button to wake the device up and then just tap anywhere on the screen using the stock Camera app to take pictures on my 810 and 925 devices.

Loved the twist to unlock and open camera on the Moto X though.
