Thanks George, for that note.

Rich, do leave the admin accounts for some time to give me some time. I will change them as needed. There are accounts that needs to be there for a purpose.

I'm just glad to see a thread in the staff forum go to a second page...lol

Who knew that all it would take is to threaten to cut Kevin... Damn him he's not even around and he is still causing trouble... :D

Seriously let me know when y'all want me to clean up the Mods.

No way Brow we would never cut you at least till you want to go. Heck I would have tracked you down first. Do you see anybody in the Mod list that might want to still contribute? If you do tell them to check in over here.

Big D5, don't worry about the moderators on the list as those mods has been inactive for quite some time even on TreoCentral. Except for Gurav (or gfunkmagic) who still goes over and visits.

The following user accounts are regular staffers of SmartPhoneExperts (our main company) but I would take them out for now:
Mike Overbo / 2009
pdaluver / 2008
Pdfsmail / 2006
Treo_Cen_Chris / 2008

Also, I never thought of you as old. We never age in the virtual world. ;)

Why not just put them in a new group, say "SME Staff" and then allow access to this forum but remove moderator permission?

Dieter did give me authority to remove them all, pretty much. If there are accounts that are required for functions on the forum then it isn't set up correctly...

Okay folks the pruning of the mods is now complete a few of the named in my list were also in the admin list so I did not edit those users. I do however agree with Rich that these old admin names that are sitting around doing nothing should be removed. If the person who had these old admin names are no longer active why do they still need to have admin access? Also on a personal note its pushing my OCD button. It needs to be cleaned up. This could cause me some physical and mental anguish so it has now become a medical issue...lol

Check with Dieter on the admins. When WPCentral first came around (then WMExperts), it was closely tied to TreoCentral. If memory serves me correctly I think both sites shared the same forum. There was a strong connect between the two sites for about a year. I just have trouble remembering that long ago.....

More than likely, as Ron pointed out, these names are old timers who dealt with both TreoCentral and WME were under the same umbrella of sorts.

Dieter will know who's still around and if there's a need for admins at the other sites to have admin privileges here. Personally, it doesn't matter to me. I wouldn't mind seeing admins having privileges across the Smartphone Experts domain. That way we all could help out in a pinch.

Not to the point of making sure my utensils are aligned perfectly, but I must admit I'm a grumpy sod (heh, I'm English) when it comes to keeping things tidy and ticking along. The site will begin to pick up as the platform matures, which is why I've been continuously bugging Dieter to make changes to the forum now and have everything up-to-date (damn vBulletin!).

Some of the big WP7 forums have shut down so it makes sense for us to grab as much traffic as possible off the main site and competitors (WMPU).

@ronbo2000: Take your time, no rush :giggle:

Or is there? :dry:straight:

Ok, Rich go for it.

Remove the authorities for the listed admins and super mods but keep the accounts active.

I know you have spoken with Dieter but the man is sooooo busy at times he would skip some information. Not really his fault just plain too busy to cover several sites.

I am for grabbing all the traffic, sans spam.

While it's a massive deal for us, not many of us like Miss Middleton ;)

I'll carry this out now :) Been relatively busy throughout the weekend on other projects (WP7 news has been quiet as of late).

I hate to thread crap but here I go. Maybe "I couldn't care less" is a littler harsh. Its a very big deal for your country I like all the history involved. My wife a a huge history buff has read all the books and has seen almost every movie that involves the Royal family. She has versed me on all the aspects of the wedding and all the tradition involved. I have a great respect for everything your country does to honor and uphold the traditions of the Royals. These days with the changing tides of the world its nice to hear that tradition still has a place in our society.
