Notification Still On in Action Center When Phone Is Locked

Do any of you have this issue, where you still get notifications on your phone when the lock screen is activated with the full message being able to be seen and read? I tried toggling the "show notification in action center when my phone is locked" to off hoping that the actual text message doesn't show up when my phone is locked, hoping it would just say something generic like, "text message" or something like that, but I still see the text when my phone is locked. This is just a privacy issue, for when my phone is just sitting on the table and I get a text, I wouldn't want just anyone to glance over and see what the text read.
