WOW, don't know how to reply to this....besides, pretty pi$$ed off.
Now, the facts here are strait forward.
1. Verizon reps are quoted online saying "It's retired"
2. Verizon reps in stores are also quoting "it's retired"
3. It's not showing on their site any more in most areas (I know for sure, in CT or RI it is not showing).
4. Verizon's support for Windows Phone is questionable at best.
5. WPC says it's possible rumor but, 1,2,3 are kind of showing that it's not.
Till we have an official public word on this, it could be that....Like Indistinguishable said, maybe they are prepping new models with 8.1/Denim for release.....MAYBE. Personally, I am not sure, like the 8-ball, output cloudy !
The fact of the matter is, Windows Phone gets 18 months of support(quoted from the WP8 announcement), now if this is release from WP8, or when the phone is released is a different story. As I see it, Verizon OWES us at least Denim.
If it is coming back, cool, awesome but, it's hard to think unless there is a major problem or sales are really that bad because the iPhone 4s and the Samsung s4 are still for sale on their websites (never mind other older models).
All I know, if I don't have Denim on my ICON by Dec 1st, if no one else is going to do it, I will start a class action lawsuit on Verizon.
Enough is enough, we pay for a phone and expect a certain level of support for the device in product updates and if Verizon can not provide us with those updates for a 2 year period from release (contract terms), something NEEDS to be done about it....
