Official Lumia 520 Amber Update Thread

I got the update... but no new features.... i created a thread in wpcentral too .... but they are saying i am wrong and the moderator closed the thread ..
I have posted screenshots.. please see my thread .. and if u encounter the same, reply here, cuz my thread is closed..

Hello people,

New to this forum but i am having the same problem of no new features after the update :crying:!!! the firmware revision number is 1030.6408.1309.0002. I am in chennai and I checked with the nokia care people and they have no idea of what they are talking about. The only answer i get from them is Amber update for 520 is not out yet and you have to wait for 2 more weeks, I told them that I did it through OTA as the phone stated that an update is available. Please clarify this, if i reset my phone will the firmware roll back to the old one so that I can try updating the phone once again through OTA?? please help!!

Guys check your firmware version, if it starts with 3xxx then its GDR2+Amber, if not then wait for the OTA.

I have a Nokia Lumia 520 and whenever I try to update my phone's software it says that I already have the latest version. No new updates...!?
Why do you think I can't install Amber+GDR2 update. My phone was manufactured in Hong Kong (if I'm not mistaken). I'm in eastern Europe...I bought it online. Looking at the availability site, it says that
Country variant 3046.0000.1329.2001 Available
Orange 3046.0000.1329.2002 Available
Vodafone 3046.0000.1329.2003 Available
Could you help me? Thank you in advance.

How ever i checked with my friend's phone here and the OS version states to be the latest one which is 8.0.10328.78 against his being 8.0.10211.204. Its just that the firmware revision doesnt get updated any work around on it to fix it so that the warranty on my phone doesn't get void?

just wait for a day and try again....it should be released gradually in different states though its available for your country as a whole....its done to prevent the servers from getting clogged

During initial phone setup, I wrongly selected Hong Kong at Regional and Language...I corected selecting my country. Could this be causing the problem. Because, the update is available in my country four about a week or more...
Also, at phone info it says manufacturer: Hong Kong; mobile operator: ..
