Official Lumia 520 Amber Update Thread

Same here. I'm from India and the official nokia webpage shows that Lumia Amber update is available for Nokia Lumia 520. But it is not. We have received only GDR2 update not the Amber(firmware) update. We have to wait for sometime for the Amber update.

I updated to amber today only. Had no problem and got all features. Those who are missing features, id recommend that they try to ota update again. Also reset phone once and try. If still it doesn't pop up, go for update with suit.

Guys, it's safe updating the phone with Nokia Software Updater right ?

for some reason even though my country HAS the amber, i'm not getting it when i search for updates from within my phone, however today i installed the NSU and it told me that the 3046.xxxx update is available, so i;m downloading the update from the software.

I think you can't install nokia pro cam in 520. Try Nokia smart cam instead.

I updated my phone yesterday but none of the amber features came to my device. If I update my phone using the Nokia Suite, then will my data stay with me or will be wiped away?

yesterday i updated my lumia 520 (INDIA) only 2 features added (tap to silence and data sense), what about other features. I updated my phone with WIFI. Will reinstalling or upgrade from nokia care help me use other features available for L520 for amber?

i also updated just 2 features added tap to silence and data sense. What is the new firmware version? I think it works fine after flashing from NOKIA

i hv installed it using proxy before amber update.
now i don't know whether proxy are working or not. u can try
115.117.137.179/8888 or
103.13.29.118/8888 7 then use sys updater to install. i hv installed PRO cam, Smart cam & here Drive + on my Lumia 520
(but pro cam is not working perfectly but it's ok)
