Official Lumia 620 Amber Update Thread

How long did it take for you guys for the update to complete? I've been stuck on the spinning gears for an hour now, doing this through official OTA update.

Well, as soon as I posted, the phone restarted, so it's all good so far.

I finally got the GDR2, liking the Glance, Smartcam and Lumia color profile.
A little sad that CardDav and CalDav is only supported using Google accounts, no love for iCloud.

GDR2+Amber just made available in India OTA. for Lumia 620... got notification....downloading...

I've updated using NSU (Nokia Software Updater for Retail) and works just fine. Happily running Amber now.

The glance screen is pretty cool, it actually says in the options that it's clock AND notifications, so I imagine that at some point we'll get notifications on the glance screen too

My Phones says it is up to date......no notification for new update?
Nokia global support page says that update is available , but if you see nokia india support page for L620...still it showing old version.

Same here bro im from Bangalore. I think it might depend on network providers, im not sure but you will get update ASAP. Let us be in patience.

Some maybe controlled by the carriers on the country you're in, and some maybe processed by the manufacturers based on that country. It's better, though, to keep waiting and check out the update page. If you see the page and see your Lumia 620 update in your country is available while you check your phone still no news, better to go to Nokia Care Center rather than flashing your own device. I'm afraid it will 'kill' your phone's warranty because of flashing.

yep there are new tonesm
the super sensitive touche feature was present since purchase on this 620m (august 2013) with the posibility to disable it.
Flip to silence you can find it on Audio settings ( dont ask me why is therem I n still tryying to figure it out )

Yep, after this update, the feature is back (with the fixed touch registering also) and we can now disable it to save battery life. And, yes, thanks again for telling me, and there's in Settings > Audio > Enhancements. Well, it should be in Network+ settings, though, but I don't know the exact reason by Nokia itself. We'll see it later

I have 8 accounts in total, connected and synced to my phone. Well, 5 of them is email accounts (including my Microsoft account), a Facebook account, a Twitter account, and a Nokia account. How about you?

mine is AirTel-Maharashtra region...nw in Mumbai...got notification abt update couldn't download bcz it needed 538MB space... I had only 41MB free... nw downloading...29% done...:smile:
