We don't have anything as fun as Mardi Gras here, but we do have these awesome donuts called paczki on Fat Tuesday, since there are a lot of people of Polish descent in Cleveland.

A good friend of mine that I've worked with for years is from Akron. I'm very familiar with paczki and some other regional fare. He would always bring some to work when he came back from a visit or his mother came down. He is Polish on his Dad's side.

I agree its really interesting stuff to discuss, but it really doesn't belong in that thread, which has been off topic for a very large portion of its existence and I warned them that if the thread needed any more moderating whatsoever I'd close it, which Pal already did.

just between us its not the thread topic that turns a thread bad. I believe it is the agenda minded posters that search looking for any reason to turn a thread into their own person webinar.

I did that is why I gave him the 2 infractions in a row. It was time for him to straighten up or move on. This last infraction proves that.

marcomura is going off the rails a bit today. He doesn't like it when he thinks someone is telling him what he needs I guess. And doesn't like when you edit out profanity. Looking at his history, eric had problems with him in a file manager thread as well. He even griped about it in a post. Is it too late to give a retroactive abuse of a moderator?rly:

I saw that thread, cleaned it up a bit and gave Morpheus another infraction for Trolling for good measure. Man that guy really riled up some posters.

I was all excited about banning rakesh for posting copyrighted material but Laura got to him first.

Maybe I'll get another chance when he comes back under a different username. lol
