I still need to get used to improved camera speed. I keep holding the camera button when all I need to do is just press it. I've trigger the video recording more than a few times now. lol

Here are some pics from this evenings reef walk with my daughter and some friends.

The camera was responsive, the colors rich, and the sharpness outstanding. If I could find a decent water proof case I would almost ditch my waterproof Ricoh WG-4.

Based on the great pics that everyone is getting on their Icon, I guess I am alone with having an issue with the camera not focusing. Hard reset here I come. Hope that fixes it.

Try a soft reset first.

To be fair, the one of my daughter jumping off the rock was a frame captured using the "capture the moment" capability built into the video camera. Getting that shot can be challenging even with a professional DSLR.

I had already tried the soft reset a few times to no avail. I went ahead and did a hard reset yesterday. Luckily, there is nothing for me to lose other than time. I have only had the time to take a couple pics since, so can't say for sure if it worked yet. A little frustrating when all my pics were coming out blurry and I try my son's Icon and everything was crisp and clear as it should be.

Here are some more from the Pacific Aviation Museum on Ford Island. It handled low light situations pretty good. I couldn't of gotten many of these shots when I was on the old firmware. It does have a problem with bright backlit scenes, mainly because the flash is not as strong as the 928's. Otherwise not to shabby. Compared to my wife's GS5, it still kicks ****.

Pics look great Gernettl. I have to send my phone in for warranty repair. The camera still won't properly focus. Tried soft reset, hard reset and Microsoft CSR had me try Lumia Software Recovery Tool. Looks like I caught a hardware failure with my camera.

Thanks! I'm sorry to hear your phone was defective. I hope you get your replacement quickly. I REALLY wish they made a waterproof housing for the Icon. I have the DryCase, and it works pretty good. The downside is that it is awkward to use the camera button and when actually in the water, the water causes phantom touches and such. Otherwise, I would use it for snorkeling instead of my WG-4, which is waterproof down to 45ft.

Hi all, just wondering how to use night mode in Lumia camera 5? On Lumia camera classic was 3 modes (auto, night and spot). I've looked everywhere, but couldn't find. Thanks.

I didn't know that Lumia Camera had a night mode, let alone the other two modes. Are you sure you were using Lumia Camera and not the stock camera app?

Lumia camera 5 (default camera in Denim now) doesn't have them or I can't find them (that's was a question after all), but Lumia camera classic (default camera in Black, which can be still downloaded from the store) have them and I use those very frequently, especially night mode.
