Lumia camera 5 (default camera in Denim now) doesn't have them or I can't find them (that's was a question after all), but Lumia camera classic (default camera in Black, which can be still downloaded from the store) have them and I use those very frequently, especially night mode.

For us camera n00b, how do I access RAW images?

For on phone processing I use Rawer it does a pretty decent job. You can adjust for exposure, contrast, hue, saturation, crop, sharpness, and a few other things.

Otherwise, you have to download the DNG files onto a desktop or laptop and edit them in Lightroom or other like application. There are several out there and a few of them are free. Just Google free RAW image converter.

I personally use Lightroom because I have a Canon DSLR and shoot in RAW format almost exclusiv

The second was from the DNG RAW version processed on phone using Rawer.



Not too shabby.

Edit: Of course the orientation bug HAD to rear its ugly head. I think the EXIF bug shows up when writing the JPG version. It doesn't present itself in the DNG RAW file.

Finally received my Icon back from Microsoft repair, after having to send it in for repair a couple days after Denim was released, and finally got a chance to properly experience Lumia Camera 5. Wish I could post the first couple test images, but I am getting errors when I go to upload any of the photos. Have to post them as links.

Next time you do a night shot like this, try one of the HDR apps like HDR Photo Camera or 4 Blend HDR, and see what kind of result you get. :wink:

You are not alone. My Icon does not take good pics, especially close-up. I sent it back to Nokia and they replaced it, but it is still not functioning like everyone else. I wonder if it is a software update that is causing problem. I have goggled, but cannot find anyone else with the problem. So frustrating because I cannot even take a pick of a receipt because it can't focus.
