Pictures + Videos Taken With My Lumia 830

I don't know if it's just me - but in Win 10 I feel like the camera takes pictures so sharp it hurts my eyes

If you are referring to win 10 x pc the photo viewer app has an autoenhance feature enabled by default.
Still preferring the "old" photoviewer that you can re-enable with a reg file.

Nope - I mean the Lumia Camera on the phone itself - don't recall the pictures to be THIS sharp back on 8.1. Nor slightly overexposed on auto shutter time.

This is, by far, the best shot I've ever taken on this phone. I forgot what exposure/ISO I used though.

P/S: If you zoom-in, you can see the stars.

Edit: I've no idea why the photo in forum is displayed horizontally. It's meant to be a vertical photo. If you wanna view it, click the photo, and click the pop-up image again. It should open the image in a new window vertically.

Hate to burst Your bubble, but those spots are the infamous "Lumia camera low light oversharpenning spots" Surely one can't see stars through clouds, can they? Try ProShot - fyi You don't get stars unless using at least ISO800 for 4sec exposure - nothing managable handheld..

If You still don't believe me, cover Your lens with Your finger and check the photo.

I would try ProShot once I can get them for free. Still waiting for it to happen through myAppFree deals lol!

Anyway, I'm not aware of such things, but I did remember using 4 seconds of exposure time as well as a low ISO (I think it was around 100). After closer inspection, I do believe that the bottom part of the picture are, as you mentioned, contain lots of the oversharpening spots, as well as those within the area of the clouds, but I don't think those other bright spots were caused by that effect. I really legitly believe those are stars because when I took another photo on scene (camera position may have been altered a bit), some of the spots remain at the same place they were in the previous pic, with the same pattern (maybe some sort of constellation? I'm not sure)

try covering the lens entirely and take 4sec, ISO100 photo I freaked out my phone was defective, but only appears in Lumia Camera..

I did as you said, and got this. Don't really see the oversharpening effect tho :/
FYI, I covered the lens using a piece of cloth, since using my finger somehow showed some light (apparently our finger doesn't really block the light from passing through it 100%).

Edit: Okay, viewing it now, I actually see light. Indeed, wtf.

On a side note, when I looked at the night-scape picture I posted earlier on and edited it, the spots turned into other colours (blue, red, yellow) which are often the colours of a star. So I guess most of those spots are really stars then? :/

Nope. The spots are part of the image like anything else, so editing them would produce those results. There's simply no way you would capture faint starlight with everything else going on exposure wise in that photo.
